I am pleased to present the first issue of Horizon AlUla, a quarterly digital magazine designed as a logbook.

Horizon AlUla dives into the heart of the major projects underway in the region, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at one of the world's most ambitious cultural and tourism projects.

AlUla is a destination for the senses, the place for a unique experience. Horizon AlUla aims to capture this emotion through immersion.

The magazine has two complementary goals: to report on the various stages of AlUla's development and to inform all stakeholders (companies, experts, opinion leaders) about this amazing adventure, by inviting them to take part.

Horizon AlUla will highlight the wide variety of professions and know-how at play in the AlUla project, while illustrating the central role of the Agency's expertises, symbols of French excellence.

This magazine will be the voice of those who, in France, in Saudi Arabia, in the field, contribute every day to revealing what makes AlUla exceptional, and who are involved in the transformation of this unpolished gem into a leading cultural and tourist destination.

Finally, it will be an opportunity to unveil the major announcements related to the success of the Franco-Saudi partnership. The latest is Villa Hegra, a flagship cultural project dedicated to making AlUla a catalyst for international creativity in the Middle East, and which reaffirms the artistic influence and know-how of France.

In its “Large Format”, this first issue explores archaeological projects. AlUla is defined first and foremost by its historical significance and the common aim of Saudi Arabia and France is to enhance the region’s thousand-year-old heritage which today represents the most important archaeological site in the Near and Middle East. All of these discoveries by archaeologists, anthropologists and other experts, contribute to writing the history of the Arabian Peninsula.

Enter the heart of AlUla and discover, from the inside, the agile workings of this exceptional project.

Have a good journey...
