Villa Kujoyama was inaugurated in 1992 and was one of the first artistic research residences founded in Asia. It has hosted more than 370 iconic artists and creators who have made their mark in French contemporary art and handcraft. Villa Kujoyama is now one of the five establishments of the French Institute in Japan.
