In the Nabataean kingdom, AlUla was an important caravan stop-over point. The interior architecture of the resort has therefore been designed as a contemporary interpretation of the Bedouin way of life. Private spaces - a fundamental and very codified notion in Arab culture - have served as inspiration, promoting a feeling of intimacy and shelter, while still allowing one to enjoy incredible views of the landscape. The various interior spaces as well as the furniture have been designed with motifs inspired by the Nabataean Arab tribes and by traditional ornaments, evoking the richness of Ashar's cultural heritage. The colors and materials of the desert are reflected in the palette of materials chosen throughout the design work.
