I had the chance to discover AlUla
through my greatest love:
books.
It began with a phone call, and a month later, my first journey there.
A shock. A revelation.
There was the desert, but also the silence, the light, the lush green of the oasis, and centuries of history etched in the Nabataean tombs.
Breathtaking. Monumental. Timeless.
I thought of the caravans, of the ancient spice and silk routes.
That warm, captivating breath of air.
Working alongside the photographer to capture this beauty, I tried to hold on to the memory of what I felt, to let AlUla’s brilliance sink in and stay with me.
Thank you to those who made it possible for me to see this jewel.
AlUla has truly taken root in my heart, and I dream of returning.
