The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) and the Systra group have entered into a strategic agreement to develop an eco-friendly tramway in AlUla. Linking the archaeological and tourist sites directly to the city and the airport, this transport system will be a major pillar of integrated mobility in the county, which is both an international destination and a dynamic place to live.
For three weeks, 15 guides (Rowah) followed a tailor-made program in France, combining both theoretical training and an immersion course. Alternating between lessons given by the CMN Institute and a series of on-site internships in Carcassonne, Arc de Triomphe, Sainte-Chapelle and Azay-le-Rideau, a group of young men and women from AlUla received the very best in French cultural outreach training. These valuable skills will help the guides provide AlUla with quality educational services and enhance the overall visitor experience.
At the initiative of AFALULA, a seminar centered on the Oasis of AlUla was organized, bringing together 35 experts, both in person and remotely, as part of a large extended audience. Researchers in archaeology, biology, hydrology, and anthropology gathered in Paris, sharing their scientific insights and further uncovering the unique history behind this exceptional oasis. As the focus of this interdisciplinary study, the oasis is illustrative of the unprecedented global approach now being taken in closely studying and preparing this region for the challenges of the future.
After having received great public acclaim in the Palais-Royal's Garden, Paris, last fall, the photographic exhibition "AlUla, A Journey through Time" by Robert Polidori upped sticks to Deauville this summer. For six weeks, local people and holidaymakers were able to explore the very heart of the extraordinarily rich heritage of AlUla through 26 exceptional photographs.

The ancient art of AlUla is now on display in the world's most famous museum. A monumental statue dating from the Lihyanite period (2nd half of the 1st millennium BCE) and discovered at the Dadan site in AlUla is going on display at the Near Eastern Antiquities department of the Musée du Louvre in Paris at the beginning of September for a period of 5 years. Restored and then exhibited for the very first time at the Louvre as part of the “Roads of Arabia” exhibition in 2010, it is now returning to the museum that brought it to public attention, after having been extensively exhibited around the world.
